Based in London, this private Mandarin Chinese course is designed for you to learn the core principles of the Chinese language, and receive one-to-one guidance from our professional tutor and native speaker, Olive Yanli Hou. Starting from any level, we can improve your Chinese speaking and listening, reading and writing skills all the way up to advanced level. What you will learn:
  • Use standard Putonghua to ask and respond to questions about personal details
  • Form sentences using Chinese vocabulary and grammar rules
  • Pronounce words properly using the 4 tones
  • Write useful words and phrases with Pinyin, and simplified Chinese characters
  • Recognise radicals and understand how they combine to form characters

The Lecturer:

With valuable experience in the Chinese business media, Olive Yanli Hou is knowledgeable of Chinese markets in the global context, with a special interest in cross-cultural management. Olive was a freelance Mandarin Chinese Lecturer at Morley College, and the Chinese Independent School of Tower Hamlets. She holds an MA in Management in the Creative Industries, from the University of St. Andrews, as well as an MA in Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literature, from Shang Dong University, China.
